I am really glad they spent the time and money to produce this video since it is such a big story. It is neat but also scary for photojournalists. I took photos of the principle cast of a mini-series that the film club on campus is producing. We took these in the t.v. studio of the communications building. It was hard at first figuring out which lights to choose to turn on out of the 20-30 on the ceiling. I also used a continuous light softened by a chimera soft box.

More important than the photos or lighting setups is what I learned before the cast arrived. I was using my friends Kelley and Lauren to stand in for lighting tests and somehow that progressed into them jumping off chairs. It was a lot of fun and killed time that could've been spent sitting around waiting for people. It was a spontaneous little shoot that gave me some photos I am happy with and didn't expect to get.
